Beter om veel cycli toe te voegen of op 100% te houden?

  • MajorTrajor

For lithium ion batteries in smart devices (phone/tablet). If a device is going to be used with the screen on for 8 consecutive hours (but not 24/7), is it better for the battery to stay on a charger at 100% so as to not add cycles to the battery, or to go on and off the charger staying between say 40 and 80%?Holding lithium batteries at full is bad, but cycles are also bad. Which is worse? Assume you’d be adding something like 1.5 cycles during this time period. Also assume the device will not be used long enough that BMS will kick in and start discharging the battery on its own like happens with iPads in kiosks.Thoughts?
